Highlights of Madrid: Sabatini Gardens (Part 1)

Greetings,

In this post, I will be continuing my series of photos from Madrid, Spain.  Today, I will showing my pictures from the beautiful Sabatini Gardens, an amazing royal garden within this city.  A website from Spain describes the Garden this way:

"The Sabatini Gardens are located by the north wing of the Royal Palace and were designed by Francesco Sabatini. He was an Italian architect of the 18th century who designed much of the Royal Palace, being the court architect. The gardens were not built at that time however. These gardens were built in 1933 where the royal stables were. There is a large reflecting pool that is surrounded by Roman statues. The gardens are formal in style in the neoclassic style, with symmetrical designs that include fountains and many bushes, trees, and flowers. Many of the bushes and trees have been trimmed to have symmetrical shapes, and they include cypresses and pine trees. There are many benches where one can sit and relax. It is a very quiet and beautiful place." (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g187514-d590938/Madrid:Spain:Jardines.De.Sabatini.html)
