Within the city of Tortosa, the Castle of San Juan is a site that one must see. Situated on a high point within the old city, this castle has been in place since the 11th century, being under Muslim and Christian control. From the vantage point of this castle, one can see the surrounding territory and the beautiful landscape, including the Ebre River which divides the city into two parts. The next posts will feature photos from this site within the city of Tortosa.
