Welcome all,
Today, has been a crazy day. I have given out 5 resumes and other important documents to prospective English schools, visited the magnificent piece of land called "Camp Nou", and walked all around the northern regions of the city of Barcelona. The city of Barcelona is divided into two regions according to wealth. Those who have more money have the luxury of living in nice buildings near the bottom of Tibidabo, the mountain that can be seen from any point in the city. One school, Collegio Sil, was a beautiful building, having what seemed to be white towers on each corner of the building.
The best part of my whole day was visiting the Camp Nou museum and stadium. Camp Nou is the home stadium of FC Barcelona and has within its seats the famous slogan of the team, "Mes que un Club" (More than a club). This comes from their history of representing the region of Catalonia since its foundation in the nineteenth century. The seats are red and blue, featuring a yellow Nike insignia and the "Mes que un Club." Within the museum, there was an ability to walk in the press stand of Camp Nou, take photos with a replica of the Champions League trophy, take photos of the stadium and marvel at the beauty of Barcelona`s rich history as a club. The trip was finished off by the "Megastore" contained within the Museum, featuring two levels full of shirts, and other merchandise that one can imagine. It was easily the highlight of my day.
Tomorrow, I will be visiting more English schools. On Saturday, I will be visiting the Costa Brava, the Catalan coast line by the Mediterranean Sea.
Visca Barca!!!!
