The Bucket List: Spain Edition

Welcome all,

Tomorrow is the big day.  I leave for the U.S. tomorrow and I am going to miss Spanish culture, especially the Barca TV channel.  (This channel has become my new favorite channel besides ESPN in the states).

Today, I visited multiple sites within the city for the last time (at least for now).  I started off by going to the top of the Esglesia de Sagrat Cor (Church of Holy Heart) on the top of TIbidabo.  TIbidabo is located at the back part of the city of Barcelona.  From this vantage point, I was able to see a great view of the city (though there was a good deal of clouds).  I was there for nearly 10 minutes without any other people.  In sum, it was a great experience.  Next,  I visited Park Guell one more time and climbed a little hill on the right side of the park to obtain a great view of the city.  It did rain during my ascent but I was able to find some cover on my walk down the hill.  I then headed down to Barceloneta (the beach in Barcelona) and enjoyed a Doner Kebab and a Fanta.  Then, I headed down to the Ranblas (a famous site in Barcelona) to do find last minute gifts.  I finished off the night by trying some Orxata from a local cafeteria shop.  Orxata is a cream-like drink that originates from Valencia.

As I returned back to the apartment that I have been staying in, I listened to the song Sale el Sol by Shakira.  It was relaxing and great way to end my last day in Barcelona, at least for now.

Below, I will post some photos and some video from my day.

Visca Barca!
